Meet My New Deceased Pet…Kefir

Hello everyone out there in internet land. πŸ˜€

I hope this post finds you happy and very much alive….unlike my newest pet that I Accidentally Killed. It sadly had an Unfortunate Accident. A horrible and tragic accident. Sigh.

I had gotten this new weird thing called Kefir from a friend. Apparently it’s chock full of good gut-biotics and is Quite healthy for you. So, I was excited to give it a whirl. πŸ™‚

My friend gave me a packet of info alllll about my new pet.

It’s fairly easy to care for they said…

Just change it’s food everyday they said…

Stick it in a dark dry place they said…

… Sure! I can do this! It will be a Snap I said…Famous last words.

Ok, so in my defense I got my new pet right when the Adventures of Verti-girl started. I was kind of out of it most days….buuuuut I managed to feed it and love it and pet it and call it George.
I joke…Of course you can’t Pet Kefir…but I waaas tempted to call it George.

So what happened you may be asking? or maybe you’ve just given up from boredom and moved on. πŸ˜‰
For those of you still holding out hope for an ending and possible explanation, I found out the hard way that you Can put your Kefir in the fridge to slow down the fermentation process…But you run the risk of it getting shoved back into the dark recesses of the cavernous leftovers shelf and never being heard from again. Sigh 😦

That was the Terrible fate of George…May you rest in peace George.

Anyhoo, I’ve had complaints of late from the management (the hubby) that they miss their Early morning Kefir shakes….so I suppose I will have to find some new Kefir to try and not kill.
Who knows, maybe I will name it Georgina!

TTFN and Happy Kefir-ing,
The Bluemoon Thinker πŸ™‚
